Stoneridge will be exhibiting at BAUMA 2025, taking place from April 7 to 13 at Messe München in Germany. At this event, we will showcase our Orlaco Vision Systems and MirrorEye Camera Monitor System, specifically designed to enhance safety and efficiency in the heavy equipment sector.
The EMOS II is a built-in camera engineered for seamless integration into vehicle bodies. Featuring an HDSCS automotive connector, it ensures reliable performance and easy installation. Its compact design allows Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to position the camera in any location necessary to eliminate blind spots, thus significantly improving operational safety. Together with the new 10-inch ELED Monitor, Stoneridge offers the Digital MultiView system, which further enhances visibility, safety, and operational efficiency for heavy machinery.
Digital Quality Combined with Radar
To even further improve road safety, the EMOS II and ELED monitor can be paired with Orlaco’s RadarEye system. Utilizing SRD (Short Range Detection) sensors, RadarEye detects objects and people around the vehicle. Employing advanced Doppler radar technology, the system provides accurate object detection without interference. When an object is detected, the system alerts the driver with audiovisual signals, allowing for a rapid response. In addition to sound and camera visuals, the system overlays a distance indicator on the monitor, providing clear visualization of the object’s proximity to the vehicle.
Detect People and Objects with SmartCAM
Visitors of BAUMA 2025 can also experience Stoneridge's advanced SmartCAM. This cutting-edge smart camera actively detects and automatically tracks personnel on the jobsite. When a person is detected, the system alerts the driver with visual warnings based on their proximity to the machine, helping reduce operator alert fatigue. MirrorEye for Heavy Equipment
Our team will showcase Stoneridge’s MirrorEye Camera Monitor System, an innovative solution that replaces traditional rearview and side mirrors with advanced digital cameras and monitors. Stoneridge’s industry-leading MirrorEye technology designed to enhance driver awareness by augmenting traditional mirrors with external cameras and in-cab digital monitors to offer a broader field of view, reduce blind spots, and improve both side and rearward visibility. System variants are already widely used on trucks and buses across the United States and Europe. At BAUMA, Stoneridge will present the system and discuss how this cutting-edge technology can be applied to heavy equipment, including construction machinery and agricultural machines.
