As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you are responsible for leading procurement activities for a specific commodity group from the moment of award by the customer to the end of the production process. You have the opportunity to operate both regionally and globally, depending on alignment with the Commodity Team.
What will you do?
At Stoneridge, collaboration is a key factor. As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will work closely with the Commodity Team to provide input for the global commodity strategy and ensure its successful implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining current and future global needs of Stoneridge regarding specific commodity groups;
- Evaluating market supply, process, and technology trends and sourcing in accordance with the commodity strategy;
- Implementing sourcing decisions to acquire source material at competitive best-landed cost conditions and in line with program objectives;
- Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders to promote standardization and strategy execution;
- Preventing material disruptions and production downtime, including negotiating fees for supplier non-compliance;
- Managing prices accurately in ERP systems and resolving changes so you have total control over cost considerations;
- Conducting contract reviews and negotiations as needed.
