RadarEye by Stoneridge is an innovative system designed to improve safety on the road, in warehouses, or on construction sites. By combining radar signals and camera images, RadarEye always provides a complete picture of the surroundings. The system aids drivers in detecting hidden dangers and avoiding potential obstacles.
RadarEye is suitable for use in earth-moving machines, heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, and forklifts. The system utilizes SRD sensors (Short Range Detection) to detect objects and people around the vehicle. Using Doppler radar technology, the system accurately detects these objects without interference in detection. Upon detection, the system warns the driver with audiovisual signals, allowing for quick response to the situation. Besides sound signals and camera images, an overlay on the monitor visualizes the distance between the object and the vehicle. RadarEye is available with an analog FAMOS camera and RLED monitor or a digital EMOS camera and ELED monitor.
Most earth-moving machines already come equipped with an analog backup camera and monitor. By adding RadarEye to these existing systems, a driver can work even more safely, reliably, and efficiently. Using the SRD interface box, radar warnings are directly integrated into the camera view through visual overlays and sound signals. This addition can be made to an existing Stoneridge camera system or a third-party monitor. With the extra detection overlays from RadarEye, a driver can work in a safer, more reliable, and efficient manner.
The complete system comprises an SRD sensor set, an interface box with an external speaker, cabling, a terminator, a camera, and an SRD monitor, providing a comprehensive overview of the vehicle's surroundings.
